D\u00e9poussi\u00e9rer, moderniser, \u00e9clairer&#8230; Apr\u00e8s The Day After en 2012, les voici de retour avec cette nouvelle arme de pacification massive, baptis\u00e9e Ripcord.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inspir\u00e9 par\u00a0<i><b>Volunteered Slavery,\u00a0<\/b><\/i>un album de Roland Kirk sorti en 1969 et qui lu-m\u00eame, cherchait \u00e0 m\u00e9langer les genres Jazz, Soul et\u00a0R&amp;B, le combo parisien poursuit son exploration et multiplie ses tentatives de vulgarisation du genre Jazz, vers quelque chose de plus universel, de plus World Music, avec des climats d\u00e9licats, doux et envo\u00fbtants. C&rsquo;est ainsi que le single <em>Kahina<\/em> nous conduit au del\u00e0 de nos fronti\u00e8res, \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on Volunteered Slaves, avec divers petits clins d&rsquo;oeil, \u00e0 la World d&rsquo;Arrested Developpment, \u00e0 l&rsquo;esprit Punk des Clashs ou encore \u00e0 la culture Hip Hop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/elrc2LiYZUw\" width=\"450\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Et ce n&rsquo;est que le d\u00e9but du voyage, la partie \u00e9merg\u00e9e de l&rsquo;Iceberg. Car l&rsquo;album nous en fait voir, titre apr\u00e8s titre : un slam solo masculin, grave (groove?) et chaleureux, un duo Hip Hop sous couvert de sc\u00e8ne de m\u00e9nage, une belle histoire sur fond de World music, un jazz tr\u00e8s free sur une cover qui ne l&rsquo;est pas moins (\u00ab Video Killed the Radio Star \u00bb des Buggles), un jazz plus classique pour un renard bleu (Blue Fox), un autre OVNI de jazz moderne sur la partition de \u00ab Us and them \u00bb des Pink Floyd qui ne trouve son \u00e9gal que dans l&rsquo;autre \u00e9tonnante cover, celle de \u00ab God only knows \u00bb des Beach Boys.
